Strictly Extracurricular

I swore off a bad-boy manchild. Until I get stuck on vacation with Dominic Flores—hot, tattooed bad-boy… and a manwith a child.

We both get invited on a vacation we both desperately need, and while trapped in a beach house for a week (not to mention locked in a coat closet and stranded on a second-floor patio), I brace myself for the expected.

But…

I expect lazy, and then I get home-cooked dinners and successful businessman.

I expect slob, and then I get vacuumed carpets and a loaded dishwasher without asking.

I expect selfish in bed, and then…well, wow.

I expect deadbeat dad, and then I see elaborate French braids…and PTO President.

Each time I see him slather his daughter in SPF 50 and handle a tantrum with patience, when he helps me with the school’s budget and plans a fundraiser, and stillmakes me coffee just the way I like it, I wonder.

I swore off men like him. But is he the exception… or worse, the rule I was meant to break?
